Watch Now! Connecting Cars: Realizing the Benefits of V2X
Today’s cars and trucks are routinely equipped with touchscreens, navigation, emergency warning systems and other features that are enabled by connectivity. But V2X - a particularly promising connected vehicle technology that allows vehicles to communicate in real time with each other, with roadway infrastructure, and with pedestrians to save lives and make transportation more efficient - has not yet been fully realized in the U.S.
In this Future Driven Forum, we’re joined by leading government officials to examine the benefits of V2X, identify the remaining barriers, and explore ways to foster widespread deployment.

The Future of Connected Cars
Did you know there is an automotive safety technology that enables cars to communicate with pedestrians, bicyclists, streetlights, and other infrastructure in real time? Vehicle-to-everything (V2X) technology is a game-changer that has the potential to increase roadway safety and deliver automation, environmental, and traffic benefits. On this episode, host John Bozzella breaks down V2X with Paul Sakamoto, Senior Director of Software Engineering for HARMAN Savari StreetWAVE, a C-V2X roadside unit.
