Statement by John Bozzella, President and CEO, Global Automakers

WASHINGTON, DC, NOV. 30, 2016 – “Global Automakers’ members are committed to the goals of the national greenhouse gas (GHG) program, and continue to offer more fuel-efficient vehicle choices for consumers than ever before. Since 2012, we have cooperated with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in good faith, offering detailed comments and analyses on facts the Agency should be considering:  the wishes of consumers, the price of gasoline, and the realities of the U.S. auto market.  It is disappointing the EPA has chosen to disregard this input, opting to maintain its GHG standards through 2025 irrespective of these considerations.”
